    Job Description

    The Business Process Automation Team is part of the Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF) Strategy Department and is responsible for the design, development, and support of process automation solutions using technologies such as:

    • RPA Tools (Excel Macros, Automation Anywhere (AA))
    • Collaboration Platforms (Sharepoint, Hub)
    • Data and Reporting Tools (SAS, SQL)

    In addition, the Business Process Automation Team also participates in special projects that include systems upgrade support, and ad hoc data analysis and reporting. The Business Process Automation Engineer will work in the Business Process Automation Team of the SETF Strategy Department and will be primarily responsible for the deployment and sustainability of light automation technologies and support deployed solutions. The Business Process Automation Engineer is expected to develop sound and sustainable solutions using practices and technologies such as (1) Lean Six Sigma, (2) Visio or Blueworks, (3) SAS, (4) Sharepoint, and (5) RPA Light Automation Tools. The individual is also expected to learn SETFs Systems (WebApp, Distributed, and Mainframe) and be able to navigate within the systems to recommend solutions, research, troubleshoot, and problem solve.

    Job Requirements

    1. Organizational Skills - Engaged and responsible for multiple projects. To be effective, need to be skilled on organizing, planning, time management, scheduling, documentation, and meeting deadlines.  This position is responsible for the Business Process Automation Environment and must apply controls such as the Solutions Inventory and Change log to ensure the quality, support, and sustainability of the environment.
    2. Analytical and Problem Solving Skills - Ability to visualize, articulate, and conceptualize to solve problems given the available information. This position requires an understanding of various business processes, technologies, and data environment to help business analyze and formulate solutions.
    3. Technical Skills -This position must also have a high aptitude in learning new technologies and be able to evaluate its effective use to support the business. Abilities and Knowledge needed for:
      • Process Improvement (Visio for Process Flows, Six Sigma methodologies)
      • Light Automation (Excel VBA Macro, Automation Anywhere)
      • Data Analysis (Data Mining and Analysis using SQL and SAS)
      • Reporting (Ad Hoc, Production Reports using SAS and Mainframe SAS)
      • Portals (Sharepoint, Hub)
    4. Communication Skills – Ability to translate complex technical/process issues and proposed solutions into easy to understand diagrams and write-ups; and be able to present the information to stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communications are critical.  This position also plays a liaison role between Strategy, IT, and other SETF business department for collaboration and special project work.
    5. Business Acumen – Experienced in the auto finance industry, the business process automation engineer must possess good business sense to be able to assess risks and opportunities to design sound solutions for problems. A sound solution is both elegant and sustainable, and requires business saviness, and expert knowledge of our processes, systems, and data to create.
